Thanks Seth! I have been working with svnX Community for a bit, and while it's sufficient for most cases, they still have not implemented svn properties (svn:exclusions and svn:externals for instance). Cornerstone seems to be supporting this. For me, a Tortoise-like OSX alternative would still be the ultimate but these apps do the job as well. BTW, the latest TortoiseSVN on Windows seems to improve on the speed issues.

Thank you for the pointer to Cornerstone. I had a look a versions before, but uninstalled it quickly when I found out that I cannot import existing working directories.
